Children's Ministry
New this summer!
Witness Godly Play, a method of Christian education and spiritual direction. The goal of Godly Play is to teach children the art of using religious language -- parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action -- to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God's presence in their lives. Our children's programs

Our puppet ministry brings a special message to the children each Sunday morning.
|
The children's program at St. Philip's is a growing part of Sunday morning. The children's Joy Time begins in the chapel each week with a short puppet show. After the puppet show, the children move on to Sunday school where Catherine and Riley lead the children in lively and energetic Christian music. The children then participate in a prayer circle.
The children are divided into classes, based on age and reading skills, for the week's lesson.
The Bible-based curriculum includes activities, games, art projects and music. Each child also takes home a worksheet that lets parents know what the lesson was for that Sunday.
The Children's Ministry's philosophy is to teach children the gospel of Jesus Christ in an age-appropriate and joyful way, using a variety of activities. We encourage parent participation at whatever level possible. It is our goal to share the message and the love of Jesus with every child we are privileged to teach.
There is a nursery for children 0-2 years.
The children return to the service during communion.
